On Saturday 27 April 2019 Welgemoed Tennis hosted its third annual Parent and Child Tennis Tournament.
With an impressive 35 doubles teams entering the competition and participating in over 200 round robin matches in the perfect weather, it was another great family fun event at the club. Players picked witty names for their teams (e.g. Smoken Aces, One Hit Wonders, Mid-Court Crisis and Shanks-a-lot) and fun prizes were awarded for each team, including the Drop shot Diva Award, The Lobster King Award for Killer Lobs and the Comeback Queen Award.
The day ended off with a burger and boerewors braai for more than 100 people and fun games for the children under the flood lights. We hope to see one and all join in the fun again next year!
